Combizell® HD series hydroxyethyl cellulose forcoatings
Combizell® HD series HEC is a kind of non-ionic water-soluble polymer made from natural cellulose. It’s a series of white or yellowish powders that are easily dispersed and dissolved in cold or hot water to produce solutions of varying viscosities. Combizell® HD series are used as rheology modifier, thickener, water retention agent, suspending agent, binder, stabilizer, and protective colloid.
Combizell® HD series HEC is used as high efficiency nonionic thickener, water retention agent and rheology modifier in all types of water-based paints and surface coatings. It has good biological stability and offer superior resistance to biological and chemical degradation. Because of its nonionic character Combizell® HD series HEC has wide compatibility with other materials, such as emulsion polymers, pigment dispersions, natural and synthetic gums, surfactants, emulsifiers, defoamers, and preservative.
TYPES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Combizell® HD series HEC has been treated to delay hydration of the particles. This treatment prevents lumping as the powder is added to water. At neutral pH and ambient temperatures, Combizell® HD series HEC disperses without lump formation and dissolves readily in water to give clear, smooth solutions, which exhibit a pseudoplastic flow behavior. The types of Combizell® HD series HEC mainly differ in their solution viscosity, users can choose freely according to application requirements.
PACKAGING AND STORAGE
Combizell® HD series HEC is packed in three-in-one paper bags with a polythene lining of 25Kg (±0.25) net. The products should be stored under dry and clean conditions in its original packing and away from heat. Combizell® HD series HEC is a non-perishable powder, if stored in an airtight bag, it can be stored for a long time under dry conditions.
